why can’t I open any applications on my iPhone?

Have you noticed this since the latest update? Doing abit of a google search i found similar problems, most people experiencing this have recently done the update.
Or as this started happening since installing a particular application?
The only thing I can think of would be to restore the iPhone and ‘reinstall’ the applications. If it is the second issue I mentioned be wary when getting the latest app again.
