Why does the iPhone not support MMS?

I always thought the iPhone was supposed to be the best mobile phone – but why on earth does it not even support sending and receiving of MMS messages if every really old crappy phones can do that? There are hundreds of iPhone applications out there – but not a single one that supports MMS. There used to be an unofficial MMS application for the iPhone but it is not available anymore although it works. Is Apple against MMS?

    I have been stuck on this too. The iPhone seems to lack the most important features. This is supposed to be one of the “best” phones yet it can’t even do MMS. Apple has talked about the iPhone being compatible for MMS in the feature. So for now, people will just have to go to that viewmymessage site.
